  • Drug Testing Bill Pacquiao Helped to Lobby Becomes Law!!!!

When Pacquiao met Senator Reid and President Obama, one of the things in his agenda was a passage of a bill in Nevada that expands drug testing.

BOXING _ SB498 authorizes Nevada Athletic Commission to expand drug testing programs using fee added to tickets.

This proves that Pacquiao's Congressman role has been put to good use. This is the first time in history that a boxer's active participation has contributed to the passing of a new law regarding drug testing. Congratulations to Manny Pacquiao!

The Law gets implemented beginning July 1, 2011.

it would be preferable if strict OSDT was implemented by the commissions and not individual boxers.

for the simple reason that you can't have the NY JETS demanding that the NE PATRIOTS take certain drug tests and the BALTIMORE RAVENS refusing to comply, etc.

however: SOME TESTING > NO TESTING.

He doesn't want to take it because Mayweather demanded it but has said he has no problem with drug testing if it is ordered by the commissions.

                    Mayweather is all hypocritical talk.

Pacquiao is a doer. But to be fair to Floyd, Pacquiao has a real political platform and access instead of just depending on the media which would be the case if Pacquiao weren't a political figure, even if it is from another country.
