Likely not earth shattering; $10k-$50k a fight. Beyond that, though, they do have that little perk of Haymon basically guiding them for free (remember that Haymon allegedly doesn't take a penny from a fighter untill he's been able to get them to a $250k payday).

    • Hard to recruit fighters who are happy fighting once a year.
This is what Haymon contributed to the sport of boxing.
Almost all of their fighters are not rushing to make their next fight.

Remain inactive while waiting for your Canelo turn.
Or fight scrubs in the interim.
        When was Jermall's last fight?
He's been loitering around for 5 months now.
Cnelo or Glovkin won't be back till probably after 4-6 months.
That will be about a year of inactivity.
Man it's gross. What a way to waste your prime years.
        It's horrible.
Jermall Charlo is a top-5 middleweight (I'd argue higher, but let's keep it at that to keep things moving). Beyond that, he just fought at the end of April (a break of 5 months), all the other top middleweights are tied up in fights, and it's not like Jermall Charlo isn't keeping up with his fitness between camps.

Fighting Willie Monroe Jr or Hassan N'Dam to close out the year, won't add more to Charlo's ability than putting his body through that camp will take away, imo anyway.

He's 28 years old, didn't have a super long amateur career, and has been due the fight for a while anyway (the WBC is suss in how they handle things, but they are unlikely to let Canelo sit on their belt until May 2019, and they sure as heck won't let Golovkin sit on it for anywhere near that long).

A 7-9 month layoff isn't going to hurt a 28 year old fighter who is in the gym.

Wow, this guy is not even pissed at fighters fighting once a year.
We're not even talking about quality fights.
Charlo fighting one-legged Heiland and Centeno.
These are worse than Monroe and N'Dam fights.
