              I think he technically was a "world Champion" . the definition of a quote unquote champ. the WBO promoted him from interim champion before his fight with ruslan. which he then lost so he was a world champ for a few weeks

                This. Yeah I knew he won the interim but I believe he’d been fully promoted and mandated first defense vs. Ruslan. I think it was from Marquez vacating his title (he’d won vs. the Ukrainian) to fight Bradley at 147.

                      Well, we determined that it was actually 13, since Mike Alvarado technically got promoted to official WBO champion before losing his title to Provodnikov. So, 13 for Mr. Marquez.
