You know when you hear those stories of someone hurting a baby, shaking them or strangling them or whatever? I think the first response is usually "how can anyone do that to a baby?"

Really easily. When a colicky baby has been screaming non-stop for hours anyone with kids could understand the frustration and emotion necessary to just snap... But most people hold back, leave the room, cool down. Most people.
