The impression those last two rounds gave are what has lasted, but round by round, even if you scored the close rounds for Castillo, the best you can come up within a 6-6 fight, or a draw, but that's really really pushing it. Madaina came closer to beating Mayweather than Castillo did, and you know what? Mayweather gave Madaina an immediate rematch too, Floyd has been in 2 close fights his whole career and gave both guys immediate rematch and beat them more decisively the second time around, he doesn't get nearly enough credit for that. Especially fighting Madaina again after how dirty he was, no one would have blamed Floyd for not fighting a dirty Madaina a second time. Imagine if Leonard would have given Hagler an immediate rematch and then beat him more decisively the second fight.

he had his chance to fight winky but he did the old floyd bluff and when winky agreed he changed his demands. he wouldn't even fight guys like stevie johnston or margarito so im not sure what guys were ducking him. guys 2 or 3 divisions above him hmmm yea not very plausible. plus he wasnt popular so there was no demand for those fights. floyd was just using their names to build himself up like he says people do with him nowadays. when someone popular agreed to fight him like winky he quickly shrank away like normal. using the evidence we have and knowing how floyd operates if hoya had agreed to figth him back then and floyd would have had to move up 2 or 3 divisions he more than likely shrinks away or asks for something silly to kill the fight like always.

                  that fight was not realistic

floyd hadnt even fought at 147 or 154 and was barely over 140 the day after fight

only people who wanted a fight with Wright to happen is people who wanted to see him lose

margarito bro....come on........ fight a no name with a trinket or the lineal champ who just beat a star in Gatti and former champion Judah...Margo also lost to a PROSPECT IN 2007....PAUL WILLIAMS...that was his undoing. Mayweather ended up fighting ODLH and Hatton in the 2 of the biggest fights in recent history...margarito brought nothing to the table besides Bob Arum "Most feared" hype lol

imo it was a joke...id have rather seen wright fight hopkins for the title at that time.

De Jesus was great. He's not TBE but homeboy was a speedball addicted wood chipper. That boy would put the bang thang on your chin. If his parents were smarter and conceived him at a later time to avoid Duran,he would've been champion much longer.

Unfortunately his final fight was when he was only 28. His later life was tragic. The drugs,AIDS,and wars with Duran had taken it's toll and he died at 37. I read rumors of a return about 6 or 7 years ago but I highly doubt he does.
