Advanced in their own right, maybe.

Not advanced like us though.

But probably as advanced as it gets for ancient people and what they know and what they believed in.

We will only always advance as far as our beliefs allow us to. Many people still believe in god and the bible, but way less than the past. The more we keep taking our heads out of our asses when it comes to science, the more we’ll advance. For example, stem cell research had roadblocks forever, due to religious beliefs. Now from 2008 to present, many, many discoveries have been made due to roadblocks on stem cell research being lifted.

Sure why not, maybe alot more advance in other realms of knowledge then what we pride ourselves in or are interested in today.

It's wholly possible that all life on earth was created by some ancient civilization.

DNA is the most complex molecule known in existence. Within DNA, contains all of the genetic information that determines what we are. What we look like, what we like, our behavior, how our organs operate etc. Every single time a cell replicates, our entire genetic make-up is transferred to a new cell. Everything that makes up what we are, our entire blueprint, is contained within each one of our cells.

So far nobody has any idea how to replicate DNA, or how it came from some ancient earthy goop. We still have no idea how exactly life sprang or how to replicate it. Nobody can replicate DNA, everything we know about DNA suggests that it was designed by something else, because there is absolutely no way that it just came about by chance.

DNA is more complex than the most complex computer or structure mankind has ever created. To say that it came about by chance is relatively preposterous.

We can replicate it, RNA can message it for repo. But we cannot hypothesize about life. As a matter of fact though people hate to admit it in the scientific community the most logical explanation is that it came from somewhere else. The Summarians believed we were made in clay jars lol.

As we get more evolved, when we build things, like houses, the materials we use leave less and less of a footprint. We can make a beautiful house out of plastics.

IF there had been a really advanced group on Earth many moons ago, if they had evolved past a certain point, we would never know they were here. Most trailer homes built in the last few years will degrade to a point where people in the future (if we make it) will never know they existed.

So in reality we can never know if an advanced society existed, or not.
