Well I'm wholly against the death penalty (though perhaps hypocritically sympathetic to the right to extract vengeance - mortally if appropriate) but Jesus was probably at the time considered by the local regional power a revolutionary and insurrectionist. If he was operating today he would probably be seen in the same light (by the Romans) as Osama Bin Laden was a few years ago. We saw how that went down.

The local authorities put Jesus to death. The Romans rubber stamped it because they were afraid of insurrection if they didn't. Jesus was never seriously regarded as seditious. He was a threat to the status quo, more like Martin Luther King and nothing at all like Bin Laden who was guilty of mass murder.

That's if Jesus actually existed of course.

I've seen interviews with peasants from the Philippines who had a better command of the English language than Manny. Even his 11 year old daughter speaks the language better than he does and Pac has been fighting in the US since 2001. He's never been the most intelligent guy.

He can go through all the drugs and prostitutes he wants as far as I'm concerned. All the greats did it. But then to turn around with this ultra-religious morality and to justify murder on the basis of it is just the worst of the worst.
