Mma fighters have a lot of outsode sponsorships,, it's just that when they are actually in the octagon is when it's regulated, no different than any other major sports,,, NBA won't let Lebron james wear a sponsorship for beat headphones during games

PPv doesn't maximize revenue... Having billion dollar TV deals does... Why does ufc have huge TV deal, plus overall better PPv buys??? So does wwe..
Lots of combat sports have TV deals and PPv,, all except for boxing

Take away floyd-manny, and Conor mccgregor sold more than double all the boxing PPVs in 2015..

How many boxers are gonna make that list of richest athletes over the next couple of years??? How does boxing only have one draw in canelo, and he only does 50% of what manny and floyd use to draw in their day..

      Canelo
      Kirkland 400k
      Cotto 800k
      Khan 600k

      Conor
Mendes 1 million (last minute replacement)
      Aldo 1.5 million
Diaz 1.6 million (last minute replacement)

Thurman Porter been hyped for years, like on prime time fox and does peak 3.7 million viewers

Conor first headline on foxsports1 and it does 3.7 million average..

Ufc will have 3 or 4 different events that easily break a million this year,, boxing will have Ward-kovolev do 300k..

Boxing has only itself to blame,, they ran it into the ground so much, that it's nearly impossible to create new stars..
When ali, frazier, foreman were done, duran, leonard, hagler, Hearns were in the wings, and as they got old, you had tyson, chavez Camacho, and then evander, foreman, lennox, roy, Oscar, tito, vargas, shane, hopkins, barrera, morales, manny, cotto, floyd,, but now we are just down to one true star in canelo, and he is the worst top draw that boxing ever had in the history of boxing
Take away Conor from ufc ppv buys in 2015 and how did they do?

Boxing had 4 athletes in the top 100 highest paid athletes.

      MMA had 1.

Isn't bringing the sponsors names into the octagon what got them the most. Money?

I will make a bet with you that Anthony Joshua will earn more money than Conor will in his career. It won't be close either.

Take away Conor and they still had a bunch of sold out crowds, huge ppv's and also a TV deal worth 100s of millions of dollars, and more importantly, a happy audience because they make the fights people want to see in a timely fashion

The worst ufc PPv still doubles up anything Golovkin does, the 2nd biggest star in boxing.. Demetrius might mouse johnson outsells Golovkin in ppvs. Lmao

Yeah because he isn't american, he is from UK...

I'm talking about boxing in America,,,, it's dead..

That's why joshua is a huge PPv star already, and wilder has zero mainstream brand awareness

Maybe for the lesser known guys, the guys in the prelims, the non stars, but it pales in comparison to what the stars get from Apple, Nike, etc..

Boxing PPV has surpassed 2 million PPV buys three times and mma never has.

Canelo vs Golovkin is bigger than any mma fight at the moment.

Careful about believing the numbers reported for ufc ppv figures.

                    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/promote...0826--box.html

One of the biggest issues with ufc as well is it has been reported that the athletes only receive 12-16% of the revenue.

My bad, I didn't realize you posted a link,,,, but I only saw 3 boxers, not 4.. And only manny and floyd beat Conor, he was ahead of canelo.
