I have recently been playing this, as I was able to pick it up very cheap, and being a fan of the series I figured I might get some limited enjoyment out of it.
This game got so much negativity when it was released, but to my surprise its honestly not bad.
It's not brilliant, don't get me wrong, but it does the job of a fallout game almost as well as Fallout 3 or 4 do.
You get a pretty massive world to explore, most of the same mechanics as the previous games, and all the basics are in place.
The bad sides are even for a fallout game it's pretty unpolished, I'm not just talking about bugs, the whole game just has this kind of "rush job" feel to it, or like it was developed by a bunch of different teams who didn't talk to each other much, its hard to explain.
But anyway, if you were a fan of the other fallout games, give this one a go, it's honestly not bad at all, I found it quite fun and it isn't a bad placeholder until fallout 5 comes out whenever that is.
