People don't seem to give lewis any credit at all for beating tyson senseless, but how far was tyson from his prime during that fight, percentage wise?

How far exactly was Tyson from his prime when he fought Lewis in 2002?

honestly though everyone tries to take away from lennox's victory but tyson was coming off a win over the 62-1 brian nielson so he had to be in his prime. neilson was much better than douglas and tyson dug deep on the road to ko the much better boxer.

He lost to Douglas at age 24. I would say his last prime fight was vs Ruddock. He then went to jail and came out 3 years later, and by the time he had his come back fight that was 4 years of his 20s gone to waste in jail. He was 29 yeas old for his comeback fight. He had a decent run in his early 30s but clearly past his best and looked more unstable than ever. In 2002 he may have been a decade past prime.

Ricky Hatton at 32-33 years old and Hopkins at 43-44 years old were in two completely different stages of their careers. Hopkins went on to win the LHW Ring and IBF titles years later. Hatton was done.
