When you're using guys like john turturro it becomes a bit comical. Add everyday language to a film taking place that long ago - there's just something not right about it-

I was hoping for a bit more Gladiator type film, but I don't think it lived up to Scott's usual standards.

Actually, Russell Crowe would have been great as Moses.

For a second I thought Russell Crowe = Russell Brand

The major thing I didn't like though is they made Ramses very evil and hated Moses.This wasn't the case, Ramses loved Moses like a brother. Moses left, Ramses begged him to stay. He didn't forced him out.
