Never really had a big amatuer career. Fought Nino Benvanuti for the Middleweight Title when he was 21. The fight was stopped in controversial fashion. Scott, claimed he was fighting out of a crouch, had been accused of headbutting by the Italian referee.
He also once got beat by a 3-3 Mario Marquez, but the next fight beat Denny Moyer and took Luis Manuel Rodriguez to a MD.
But he was pretty washed up by the time he was 22/23. Which is pretty shocking. Carlos Monzon ended up destroying him in 3 when he was completey shot.
Was only a pro for 4 years, which is pretty short.
