  • Help! I'd like to have some tips for a good boxing workout.

    Hello,

I'm from Belgium and there isn't a boxing gym in my neighbourhood. I really like boxing and would like to do it at home. Do you guys have any tips, training workouts, a good book to introduce me in the world of boxing and to show me the basics ( I know I should go to a gym to really learn it, but as you know, there isn't one in my neighbourhood ). I'd really appreciate it if you can give some information to start with to learn the basics of boxing.

PS. I'm going to buy a heavy bag.

Ya cuz. Before you hit the bag you should shadowbox frequently, at home, at work, at school, walking around, whatever. And when you start hitting the bag don't go all out. u should learn how to throw a punch correctly before u break your wrist. in all your exercises you should go 110% all the time. Run in the mornings, start at 1 mile and work your way up to bout 4. If you go on to titleboxing.com u go to accesories i think and you can find books on how to box and train for boxing. or you can just order a magazine from title boxing.

hey brother, try this website. http://www.rossboxing.com/ has a lot of good home-training things you can do. I have been doing many of the things he has talked about and have seen great improvements in little time.
