  • Where does the 99-2001 Miami Dophin defense rank all-time?

Zach Thomas, Brock Marion, Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain, T-Buck (Terrell Buckley)... When you got a guy the caliber of T-Buck as your slot corner you know you beasting!

Big Tim Bowen anchoring the line with Jason Taylor... And Trace Armstrong the sack specialist...

Big Daryl Gardner on the line...

Brian Walker at strong safety with seven interceptions and two sacks!

    Listen to the interception count: Madison - 5; Surtain - 5; Brock Marion - 5; Brian Walker - 7.

Trace Armstrong with 16.5 sacks, and SEVEN forced fumbles! Taylor with 14.5 sacks!

Jason Taylor and Thomas were bad-ass... I mainly remember Thomas for being like the generic real good white MLB but just looked up his stats and wow.

Almost always a lock for 120+ tackles a year.

Yeah it's funny how Urlacher and Lewis get all this praise and attention, but Thomas is the forgotten guy from that era - he has pretty identical stats to both those guys.

Yet during HoF discussions, people say he is a "fringe" contender, rather than a first-ballot lock like he should be.

        Lmao...

Team defense was overrated.. In the playoffs over that 3 year stretch they were blown out in losses 109-10... Let me repeat, out scored 109-10.... 62-7, 27-3, 20-0... Jimmy johnson got ran from town.

Not exactly a hallmark of defensive greatness..

But individually they had some serious studs
