  • NSB PICK 'EM 2019 #41 and #42. 21st and 23rd June 2019

    Friday 21st June 2019

    Indio, CA, USA (UTC-7)

Andrew Cancio vs Alberto Machado II

    and

    Sunday 23rd June 2019

    Las Vegas, NV, USA (UTC-7)

    Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Julio Ceja

    BETTING ODDS:

    Cancio: Machado:
    Rigondeaux: Ceja:

No odds available at this time. Provisionally I'd expect a x2 on Ceja but will update when odds become available.

    Ways fighters can win:
    Decision: WIDE or CLOSE
KO: EARLY (1-4), MID (5-8) or LATE (9-12)

Examples of the ways you can state your decision:

PICK EM CREW, Cancio, KO, Late x3
PICK EM CREW, CEJA, DEC, CLOSE x2
If no multiplier is specified in your pick (ie x2, x3) then it will be assumed that no multiplier is being used (x1)
If you wish to pick a Draw result, simply state your Username, both fighter names and DRAW, ie:

PICK EM CREW, Cancio, Machado, DRAW
IMPORTANT NOTE: NONE OF THE WBSS FIGHTS CAN BE SCORED A DRAW - ONE FIGHTER WILL ALWAYS BE DECLARED A WINNER. ANY UNCORRECTED DRAW PICKS ON THE WBSS WILL BE WASTED.

    NOTES:
-Picking the correct winner earns 20 pts
-Picking the correct method earns 10 pts
-Picking the correct detail is worth 10 pts
-Draws are worth 120 pts. A perfect pick without a multiplier is 40pts.

-CLOSE is <12 pts difference, or anything closer than 116-112 on all three scorecards. WIDE is >=12 pts difference, or anything equivalent to 116-112 on all three cards or wider.

-If you'd like to change your pick before the fight starts, post in this thread to do so. Ideally tag me so that I don't miss it.

-2X doubles your points and 3X triples your points. Everyone starts with 5 doubles and 3 triples to use throughout the year. If you forget how many you have left, check the leaderboard in the master thread.

Okay gentlemen, we got a split date Pick Em this weekend, Friday and Sunday, so you might want to make sure you get your picks in (at least for Cancio vs Machado) in a timely manner.

Some of you will probably note that I've completely ignored the decision stated in the Upcoming Pick Ems thread to pass on Rigo vs Ceja... the reasons were twofold, firstly by TBRB Rigo remains champion and is unbeaten at 122 despite holding no sanctioned belts, secondly upon reviewing Cejas loss to Manzanilla I deemed that whilst the loss was entirely legitimate it doesn't really reflect on Ceja's quality as a fighter, and that it isn't unreasonable to consider him to remain a significant contender at Jr Feather.

Best of luck, gentlemen, and remember new multipliers drop on July 1st so whilst you ain't gotta use 'em or lose 'em you also ain't gotta really worry about running out either.

      regards

      K
