I'm sure those super hardcore fanboys are around still somewhere, but clearly they aren't quite around in the numbers they used to be. I feel like that Simpsons bushes gif where Homer is wearing a Manny shirt & then goes into the bushes mid-Floyd fight & comes out with a GGG shirt was kinda a real thing cuz it does seem like the Manny Train & the GGG Train had the same stop & the Manny Train left much lighter & the GGG Train was SRO after Manny took that L to Floyd.
Thats kinda the way casual fans are doe. Once you start catching L's the casuals drift away from your fanbase & the hardcores don't quite hype you the same either eventually. Losing is a mfer to a boxers popularity usually. Specifically for the "good guy" cardboard cut out types. And I'm sure some of the controversial things a guy seen as a good guy like Manny said didn't fly very well with casuals loving him anymore too so thats a piece of his downfall from a 1M PPV buy guy to being an ESPN guy.
