Not really, go to Sherdogs forum. She is getting absolutely clowned on there. Ronda was just as hated by UFC fans as she was Boxing fans. It's like assuming all boxing fans love Floyd because the casual fans pay out of the nose to watch his PPVs. Most of the people that are real MMA fans if you talk to them are actually guys who loved boxing first but found that in MMA you get the very, very best fighters fighting each other on a consistent week-by-week basis.

I love Holm, shes great, I wish she were still boxing and I'm an so so glad that she derailed Ronda. Let's not let the boxing vs. MMA sideshow detract from what was a masterclass from Holm last night.

This really isn't true. It's just that after this fight, they are all diving off the bandwagon, and now clowning her all over the internet. She was actually really popular among a pretty decent segment of cagefighting fans.

1st the bjj guys reigned.

then wrestlers when they learned submission defense.

then strikers when they learned takedown defense.

and so on.

imo its easier to stuff a takedown than a clinch with a judoka. even no gi.

especially at womens level. where girls at ronda level grappling is rarer.

hope this brings back one dimensional ronda that just brings it to the ground and goes for submission.

she was training at an mma gym before ronda. ronda was still competing in judo.
