depends on the culture.

filipinos and japanese don't do that. they have no distrust of banks and their businesses/work are more americanized.

other asians are not so trusting of banks.

but also another part of it is sometimes they work under the table or underreport their income from their businesses.

generally the shorter a family has been in the states the least trusting they are of banks and will have more money kept at home hidden.

Jewish people were frozen out of the merchant and trade guilds in the middle ages and were persecuted quite a bit throughout history so they banded together because of faith and helped each other.

Asians have a knack for saving as evidenced by the high savings rate of certain nationalities. There so many flavors of Asian that I think the bonds tend to be within their group (Chinese, Cambos, Pinoys, Viets, Koreans, etc) rather than their religion.

Part of the discipline and work ethic has back fired and lead many to become work horses instead of leaders and business owners.

Some of my good friends are Asians.
One in particular got worked like a horse by his mother.
The guy lacks any kind of social skills to be successful at anything.
His mother forcing him to study 40-50 hours a week effectively ruining his social development.

I work with literally thousands of asians, and they on the whole make really good money where I am.

They are in management positions too, but u may be right in that they are underrepresented in some fields- in the USA UK and western europe.

Not in technology though, I will tell you that.

I think though that's asians dealing with a new culture more than anything.

They do that ***** all the time in Asia, a bunch of bad golfers hanging out and drinking Johnnie Walker blue or some xo cognac prestigy booze.
