What is this obsession with Punching Power?

    By technical I mean subtleties that set up the knockout. Fighters do certain things, that most people don't see/understand, when setting up a knockout. Joe Louis had practically a million subtleties in his stance alone and he was one of the best ko artists anybody ever saw.

      Leonard had serious power! But that's not the point.

      The thing with power is that it's exciting, intimidating, a game changer etc. Most people would rather lose by points and cry that the opponent just ran, which is bull**** 90% of the time, than getting KTFO.

      For example, would you rather lose your world title like Vernon Forrest (RIP) did to Mayorga, or how Mayorga lost it to Spinks? Punching is the X factor, although I will admit, it's importance in a fight is terribly overrated.
