  • One question by the media can end the Spence/Crawford debate

Ask an executive from Fox or ESPN if they're willing to do a joint PPV at this moment. I guarantee they will say no and want it to build up.

There have only been 2 joint PPV's

    Lewis/Tyson 1.9 million buys

    Mayweather/Pac 4.6 million buys

    Crawford/Spence comes nowhere near that.

If you think this goes over 400k buys then you'd have to admit Spence is the A-side & deserves the bulk because you're admitting 2 black fighters sell more than a black fighter & a Mexican. People have been attributing Spence's success, and Crawford's lack of success, to the fact Crawford didn't have a Mexican opponent. But then you're turning around & saying 2 black fighters sell more....

So is it oochie walla or is it one mic?

Why not do it without PPV? It's not a huge fight at all.

That's even worse than a joint PPV. That's like asking NBC & ABC to do a joint Monday night football game. How are they going to sell that to the sponsors?

No one knows Crawford. Look at that PPV buys disgusting. No way he deserves a 50/50 split for Spence.

Only reason bob mentions joint ppv is cause he’s desperate. If he had all the welterweights he wouldn’t give a damn about working with haymon

The answer to getting this fight made is not something either team will entertain...DAZN

They would prob put the money up and give the guarantees up front, but neither team really has the fighters best interest at heart completely, because they also care about their own individual network deals

Both fighters are going to want 10M+ for this fight. That's not happening outside of PPV. I bet their guarantees end up being close to like 15M.

The joint PPV thing is what I've been saying this entire time. Everyone keeps throwing it out as if it's that simple. We have only seen it twice....EVER. And we are to believe there will be a joint PPV for a PPV that may or may not even do 500k buys? Huh?

Pretty much it. It's just not a big fight at the moment. The only way Arum would allow it to happen is if it took place on ESPN exclusively.
