I beat a few wrestlers as well, easily, at poker and checkers.

I have a little bit of an update on my wrestling venture. I am still training and so far I have taken 66 private classes in wrestling. The mma gyms that I have visited only two trainers have beat me and there is a heavyweight mma fighter that I pinned first and then he pinned me. Nobody else has scored a point on me. One of the trainers is a Canadian champ at Grecko 97 kilos. The other trainer is a national jiu-jitsu and sanda champ in Cuba competing at the 83 kg division there. I weigh 70 kg. This is a real mind**** because I'm very technical, strong and fast in boxing yet I get beat in boxing by guys with less technique and even less athleticism. I am not bad at boxing at all (I've done boxing almost all my life), it's just that I don't have the instincts that I have in wrestling where in wrestling I'm regularly pinning guys who are heavier and have a lot more experience. My Cuban trainer can't explain it either as he's put me against a lot of his guys and says that it is instincts, angles and lateral movement. He is kind of confused also as far as why I am beating heavier, more skilled wrestlers.

I’m not saying your lying BUT, I have been wrestling all my life, my father and uncles were all division 1 wrestlers here in America as am I (Oklahoma State).

And what you’re saying I have never seen done before.

There are levels to this game just like boxing and I have never seen a green guy dominate a college level competitor, wrestling is not about just strength, and natural talent can only take you so far because most people who choose wrestling are drawn to it because they have some level of natural talent also.

Not to be demeaning or anything but I would say that the wrestlers in your area are not very good to say the least.

I’m from Oklahoma where wrestling is a religion and even the high school wrestlers are high level operators because they have also been wrestling competitively for at least 3 years before they even hit high school.

So yeah I don’t know your reality, but if what you are saying is true find a higher level of competition, and if you are really the Neo of wrestlers go out and make a name for yourself in formal competition.

But what I know about my sport and the passion I have for it I have to say...

COOL STORY BRO!!!

You're right, the wrestlers in Canada as a whole are not very good. In Cuba it's a different story as Cuba finished 4th in freestyle this past year and they only had 4 representatives. So I've wrestled guys in Cuba who are doing jiu-jitsu and mma. I've wrestled some wrestlers there as well. I only have one short video from Cuba where I wrestled one guy who was bigger than me and is pretty good at Grecko. I am not sure how I can post the video. I pinned him in 10/12 seconds. I am now much better in wrestling since my first post in 2017 and wrestling right now is in my blood, I am just sad that I discovered wrestling at an age of 35 but I love it.

Mmm yeah.

So let me get this straight, you are a 36 year old wrestling prodigy?

When wrestling like all competitive sports is a young manís game?

AND youíre pinning heavier, younger opponents with much more experience in mere seconds?

WOW!!!!!

Yeah well you can be anything you want to be my friend.

Imagination is a wonderful thing.

Iíd love to check out the video link bro, but I donít have Facebook.

I donít do social media.

Donít get me wrong bro Iím not trying to be a dick but I know how much I sacrificed for my sport to get to where Iím at and when I read something that goes against everything I know about my passion I have to question the validity of the statements being made.

Gym work is nothing, wrestling is about formal competition.

Enter some tournaments because that the only way to know what youíve got.

Bottom line.

Good luck bro.

I actually started wrestling so I could learn another combat sport and teach my young son. I am not interested in competition and you're right, some people are great in the gym and they can't perform when it's an official competition. I am to be 37 very soon and I can't handle the grind of a wrestling practice day after day. As a matter of fact when I take personal classes in Cuba, we don't do any physical conditioning. We work only on technique. I posted the video on youtube and I will send you a pm so you could see it and remove it shortly. I don't want to be a dick to the other guy in the video
