  • what is a "minor" degree in uk terms

is that the same as a foundation degree course?

No. From what I understand, a foundation degree is equivalent to our Associates degree. These days an Associate degree doesn't mean much, so most people get at least a bachelor degree. Most bachelor degrees require a minor in another subject, to go along with their major (primary area of study.) A minor is typically about one years worth of school work.

My degree didn't require a minor, but I did one anyway just for fun.
