and if he loses he probably rematches Groves anyway or fights Eubank Jnr. Since theyre both grudge matches he;ll still have those opportunities
And Jnr and Groves will want that fight since Degale would have never been more easy to beat

He says this before every fúcking fight, then flatters to deceive.

Ouch!! Talk about a reality check.. Degale co-headlining a card, as an Englishman, at an off-strip casino on a card with about 3 weeks promotion for his IBF belt. He needs a massive statement performance, and then needs to swallow his pride and sign with Matchroom and try and get in the mix and cash out...

Boxing is a brutal sport which takes no prisoners. It's not always easy to bounce back. JD has been in some big fights against tough opponents for the past few years. Naturally that takes a toll on your body. I hope his claims are true but I doubt it, this guy is toast.

I hope hes been preparing far longer for this and theyre just announcing it now. The first fight seemed like he rushed to get back, so we’ll see if hes ready this time.

I'm thinking the same. I hope he wins the belt back because i think he's talented, but I'm wondering if he's just on the decline now after quite a few hard fights.
I've been re watching some of his fights recently, and I definitely think he should have had another trainer instead of McDonell, one that would have pushed him more to iron out the lapses in concentration he's always had.
When he's focused he looks world class, but he's always just done it in spurts. I get the feeling Mcdonell has never addressed that, and just let him get away with coasting too much.

I think he will actually KO Truax this time, he knows he needs to stop the passive fighting he needs to go at Truax and land some bombs.

DeGale imo has been very lucky in many other of his previous fights because I thought he lost to Medina, Bute, and Jack, but now that DeGale has actually had an official L on the record maybe just maybe he will realize his coasting which he all too often does isn't enough.
