Amir Khan Hires Elliot Ness: Shane Mosleys Bodyguard

Just noticed that Khan hired Elliot Ness who is also Sugar Shane Mosleys bodyguard and appeared in Mayweather-Mosley 24/7. Elliot Ness is from Harlem and a Muslim convert. He appears to have been hired after the May 1st fight in time for Khans fight against Malignaggi in NYC May 15th.

I can seem to find Mosley-Mayweather 24/7 Episode 3 in which Elliot Ness is interviewed.

The thing im trying to understand is why did Khan decide to hire Elliot Ness? He has been Mosleys one man army for over ten years. Also why does he need a bodyguard already? Is it a status thing or does he think he will be kidnapped or attacked? Or both?
