yes its being compared to a less gritty version of city of god ... but city of god was epic in comparison imo. not to say slumdog is bad its a good movie btu not as good as people are making out.

Sometimes it isn't about the action you see in a movie but the way the movie is put together. Slumdog is an excellent movie because of the way they outline the story and the time line they use.

I don't think you know much about directing but this was a superbly directed film.

am i the only person thinking people are overrating the fuuk outta this movie...

No your not.

Seen this when it came out and taught it was a good film,
enjoyable watch, even though i was starting to feel a little
bored towards the end.

But now everyone is going on and on about it and then it wins
a loads of oscar's (like an oscar meaning anything anyway).

Even recent films like The Wrestler, Valkyrie and Gran Torino,
i think are better.

Just my opinion, everyone has theirs.

It was so stylized, Danny Boyle is the ****ing boss.

Aronofsky still got robbed out of a directing nomination though.
