  • Is Canelo's W over GGG THE greatest victory ever for mexican boxing?

If not, can someone point me at a major victory for mexican boxing than a mexican beating one of the greatest MW ever (MW being a division where mexicans usually dont shine at all), who was the dominant champion, with nearly 20 defenses, a brilliant amateur career, undefeated, record holder for most KOs of any MW champion ever, and was at least at the tail end of his prime?

This victory seems better than Chavez Sr over Meldrick Taylor, Marquez icing a Pacquiao with multiple previous losses or Salvador Sanchez beating a green Azumah Nelson

did Canelo just gave Mexico its greatest boxing victory?

Who the phuck is ggg? The jabber? Nah that ain't the best victory for Mexico when you have marquez knocking the phuck out of a all time great! When you have Salvador Sanchez stopping arguably the best Puerto Rican fighter of all time! That's just a couple to name... So the answer is heeellllllll no!

Not even close. Even Margaritos win over Cotto was better.

Was Cotto the undefeated, most feared welterweight kingpin with nearly 20 defenses and record for most KOs for a welterweight champion ever, when Margo fought him? didnt think so

Defences don't mean ****, it's who you beat and Cotto had beaten much better competition. All you can do is mention stats because he actually has beaten nobody of note. His resume is garbage.

Marquez planking Pacquiao is my all time favorite Mexican win. Canelo drawing and scraping a close decision against a bum beater hype job is nowhere close. And GGG is nowhere near an ATG middleweight with his bum resume and fake ass regular title defenses.
