I've often said that Floyd's comeback run from JMM to retirement, is the best run in my lifetime at least. One of the best runs of all time. If you include fights all the way from Zab as well, then yes. It it up there, for sure. Even more impressive when you realise he was 30+ for most of these.

It's impressive, but it will look better as it ages and more fighters show how hard it is to fight at the top level in your 30s. It's very hard.

Gatti was #1 ranked at 140 and the WBC champ.

Tszyu didn't want to fight Mayweather after he (Floyd) called him out in the Henry Bruseles post fight interview, instead he fought Hatton and lost and Mayweather fought Gatti and won.

Can't fault Mayweather for calling out Tszyu in 2004 and being ducked, and Mosley and DLH in 2005 and neither of them wanted him.

Doesn't mean Floyd cant win over them guys, there were guys that beat them that Floyd would school so your time machine is nothing but opinion and throwing names around you cant be jumping eras as it doesn't work, the OVER ALL accomplishments spanning the entire career from first fight to last fight Floyd did more for the sport of boxing and had more influence over the sport than probably any fighter in history, he changed the sport.

If Leonard Hagler Duran Hearns were in this era they may have been beaten by quite a few of the elite, you just cant tell what would happen as they had sht nights and they all lost so you never know, people think the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence that often works out to be total BS in reality, especially so when its formed from people reading colorful romantics written by historians that glorify so much to create larger than life characters.
