Agree with this, a boxer will likely KTFO you before you can even get to him.

        • You seem to have forgotten from the last time this idiotic topic came up: Street fighting is for losers. If you get into a street fight with a boxer you will lose. And so will the boxer. Because you are losers.

Anyone routinely getting into street fights over the age of 17 is pathetic. Fucking grow up.

This is one time that I agree with Piggy, only fools fight in the streets. Those fools fighting in the streets are just out there looking for a soft touch in a guy that doesn't know how to fight back. If these 'tough guys' really wanted to fight somebody who could fight back then they would have been in the gym fighting with us........... Rockin'

              • Did someone call boxing a sport? I guess now a days some people call it a sport. I guess some people think boxing is only as brutal as a Mayweather fight. Or a Canelo fight.

I remember many years ago when i tried to get someone into boxing and showed them some moves. They thought they could only fight in one style, which is the regular hands up and punch in true boxing technique. They seen some boxing but not privliged to see the brutality of boxing. And to be honest some of you that say boxing is a sport or that it is regulated have truly forgot just how brutal it can really be.

Truth be told we don't have many great boxers today, that bang, bang thank you mam type of style that makes many of you forget just how brutal boxing can be.

Has many of you read into the history of boxing?

Imo, once you have boxed and spared enough times, your instincts as a boxer come second nature. Any street fighting you knew as a kid you use it in a street fight with the boxing skills you have learned.

I see little kids get in fights, don't know how to fight (box) so what ends up happening they tackle each other to the groud and wrestle.

I respect what mma fighter do but the ground game is something you have to have grown up with in wrestling or learned later.

Fight like a man, used to mean stop trying to hug me trying to throw me down to the ground and stand up and throw with your fist.

Respect to the mma fighter and those that like mma as i do to boxing. But watching some documentaries on some fighters i have gained respect for the mma fighter, but it is imo a few levels lower compared to boxing. And with respect to a mma fight be a real fight... gloves or no gloves no likes to be punched and boxings brutality is not what it used to be because we in the Floyd era where boxing is what fighters are doing more of in the ring.

                    • I am 6.1 154 pounds, 20 year old. used to have red hipster type glasses that just screamed ''i can take that ****** , no problem, my gf will be so proud''. Practiced boxing for 2+ years .

So basically every Friday in the old town there was someone who would try to disrespect me because i looked weak and got more woman than they did. Anyway i have fought around 30-40 times on the streets and most of them ended up being the average ''looping right hand that you saw a day before'' joe. Once they get hit with few jabs they understand that they are in deep trouble . Some start hesitating, some go berserk but none can achieve anything. They just dont know how to punch, how to keep distance , they just hope that if they land i will fall.

One time when i got in a scrap with an mma dude everything was all right but of course when he felt that stand up ain't gonna cut it, he took me to ground. I felt him trying to lock my hand. My brains went, **** this **** no more fair play and i poked his eye. He let me go and I just rained punches until he asked me to stop which i did.

The other one was a security guard . A big ****er around 6.4 210 pounds. A grown man. My friends decided to hit casino for few minutes. I didn't have an ID on me so I waited with one of the buddies outside. Just smoking, waiting. Suddenly security guard bus arrives and tells as to go away. We ask why and the big **** just headlocks me. I spur out and yell at him ''what the **** are you doing ******''. He decides to hit my leg with his stick. Being the ****y bastard that i am, i start teasing him so he starts swinging with his stick. He catches my shoulders, legs and starts aiming for my head. I slip under one of those punches and catch him with a david haye type looping overhand right. Cheek bone cracks, he collapses and I kick him in the spleen. It is over, faces of surrounding guards are priceless, my lads rush out and lay a beating on all of them. I end up geting a 5k compensation.

No martial art can go hand to hand in a fist fight vs boxer, kicks are pretty useless on the streets. and this BS about being trained to catch a hand mid punch is garbage. Ain't nobody catching my jabs and straights. block or evade are only options. Different story is when a ground guy gets u in position where you can't cheap shot him. Than it is over for boxer.Bones break, tissue collapses, lights go out.

Closest fight that i have had vs average dude is when i was blackout drunk. Friend told me that it looked like a poor mans version of myself. Still won, afterwards got jumped by two of his friends a knee to the chest and chin. Felt backwards and hit my head against hinges. Woke up in the hospital.
