Who is your favorite active boxer and why?

I have to second this mention of Jorge Linares, as well as the others mentioned. Regarding Linares, there are two fights that come to mind where I believe he got the short end of the stick.

There was a fight in Mexico where he ... can't remember who he was fighting, but he received a knock down, I believe. He wasn't hurt. First time he was knocked down, and the referee escorted him or told him to go to the corner to be looked at by the doctor on hand. The doctor didn't even look at him and just waived off the fight. It's a bit like what happened to Miguel Berchelt.

The other one was when he fought that gangly guy, either from Mexico or Brazil. But Linares got a cut on the nose, and the bleeding was profuse. I think there was an accident in the corner, and the cut man dropped the q-tip with vaseline.

Anyway, in the 12th, when Linares was up on the cards, the fight was stopped because of the blood. But if it had gone another minute or so, Linares would have won.

Anyway, he's 35 now, and is making a comeback. He had the best showing against Lomachenko out of all those that Lomachenko fought. Some people criticize him, saying he likes to look at his work, etc. But as you said, he's exceptional. An exceptional boxer, phenomenal hand speed, excellent ring smarts. Just all around great.

Lomachenko has been my favorite boxer as of late. His last fight, against Luke Campbell, was a masterclass in footwork. You have to have phenomenal footwork to fight a guy who has nearly a 7 inch reach advantage and knows exactly how to use it, along with his size. It didn't stop Lomachenko, however.

Rigondeaux is a master at the counter. His counters are so fast that it looks as if he's the first to throw the punch. That's how good he is at reading his opponent and knowing exactly what the other fighter is going to do. Plus, he hits like a middleweight or harder. One of the most devastating check hooks out there.

Saul Alvarez for his defensive prowess and countering ability. PLUS HIS CHIN!

Speaking of Chins, I have Gennady Golovkin. No matter what people say, his ability to cut off the ring and apply pressure is second to none. His jabs and over-the-top cork screw punches are perfect.

Artur Beterbiev because he's like a boxer that was cut from stone. He has stone fists and a stone chin. He's like an immovable object, and when set in motion, I have yet to see someone slow him down.

Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter, each for their entertaining and skillful styles.

Haha Ryan Garcia's dad said he didn't want his son to fight Linares because Linares is old. What?! Even though Linares destroyed Morales, the same Morales that would have beat Garcia had it been a 12 rounder instead of a 10 round bout? Garcia lost rounds seven, eight, nine and ten with Morales.
