Some people seem to be directly against it, which I don't understand. I don't see where it's specifically hurting the sport. Maybe some of these guys can explain.
I lol'd when it was announced because Eddie said it was going to "change boxing forever". The guy is so cheesy and dishonest. His hyping of it made DAZN seem like a huge disappointment and almost a joke in comparison to his claims.
But, that aside, it seems to be a format that's going to make boxing available to a lot of people that might otherwise have a hard time catching the fights. If that turns out to be true, then it's probably a really good thing.

I would take the things some people say with a pinch of salt. Certainly some Wilder fans, who are a bit obsessed with Hearn. There was people on here who wanted it to fail before it had even started, and before anything had been announced, just because of who was heading DAZN.
The exact same package could be ran be a different guy who they like, and they would champion it, regardless of the quality of it's content. But that's how NSB has always been. The promoters and TV stations have fans/haters.
I can see some people's legit grumblings though. It's good to have all your boxing covered and be able to watch it all and have the most boxing as possible available. But the costs of subscribing to all these platform soon adds up.
Of course it's not just DAZN who adds to those costs, they are all at it now.
BoxNation is a bit annoying now, Warren has took his fighters over to BT so you have to get BT if you want those fights. But you kinda wanna keep subscribing to Boxnation in the hope they keep showing the good international fights like they used to (even tough they have started to slack).

It’s mostly the PBC/Haymon loyalists. Any threat to the PBC brand and the casuals are out with their torches and pitch forks.

At the end of the day, fans just want to see the current crop of fighters fight on a regular basis, at least 3x a year. PBC have failed to do that. I don't see anything negative adding DAZN to the mix. Could be a solution to the inactivity problem plaguing the sport.
