Stupid people will buy it thinking McGregor has a chance. Easy money for Mayweather if it happens.

Anyone who saw UFC 202 should be smart enough not to pay to see McGregor get stopped inside of 6 rounds by TBE.

He has no chance against Mayweather in a boxing match. They must think it will generate May/Pac type numbers. I think they are dreaming.

It WOULD generate May/Pac type numbers because casuals who only watch MMA will eat it up simply because to them, McGregor is a strike master, and they don't know that a bum like Chris Van Heerden was giving him the business.

Of course he is. Its helped get his name out in the media more than it already is. This is some crafty name association type ****. Arum has used this tactic with his fighters to great success & its free thus no cost, high reward so why not try it out.

And its not necessarily about getting the fight with a guy its just using your name with someone elses name who's more famous or who's making/made more money than you as to give your name more value. This happens in many places besides boxing & it keeps being used cuz it works.
