Is DAZN's hiring of Golovkin a stupid move?

Yes. 97G is a nobody without Canelo. It's like how no one cares about the Cavaliers without LeBron James. He can fight Charlo, Andrade, Jacobs, or Saunders. Those are good fights, and hardcore fans will pay to see them, but him vs Canelo is the only matchup that will bring in huge subs for DAZN.

GGG is old, slow and not that murderous KO artist anymore.Or was it that he was fighting tomato cans and cab drivers before, making him seem so? Against Canelo in the two fights,he barely rocked him, though he won the first fight,he lost the second backing up.Not interested in a third, but I don't see how besides a trilogy, where GGG is worth big money, particularly with his limited English and no other moneymakers either.

He did him hurt in the 2nd bout but Canelo recovered quickly (he is a juicer so...). Dropped Jacobs pretty hard.

GGG is definitely slowing down though, undeniable, and inescapable past 35.

True. And he only wants to fight nobodies now.
The Canelo trilogy is not even going to happen anytime soon.
That would mean he will not be taking risky fights that would jeopardize the super fight.

Naw since he brought the White & Asian boxing fans to DAZN just like Anthony Joshua with the Black fight fan and Nelo with the Latinos

              Yeah.

They're not going to recoup their investment in Golovkin. Not unless he fights Canelo once a year for the next three years.

DAZN should be contacting Charlo for GGG. It's a marketable fight.
