The Adonis fight would never have happened although it wouldve been good for Ward

Ward did PASS on Bute saying he needed to earn his shot. Two fights into earning his shot he was KTFO. That was a miss and not a duck, but wouldve bolstered Wards legacy big time.

Its the same story with you Borat kiddies. I post sources (evidence) and all of a sudden your favorite movie was from 1990 and ya'll go SWAYZE

the real boxing fans, who are also Golovkin fans.... simply do not mention Ward lol

the casual fans..... still think that Hypekin could have beaten Ward LMAO

but the real shltters, the most lame of them all..... steadfastly insist that Ward ducked lil'G

there is no hope for that group

Canelo is a boss for selecting Jacobs

it is great to be a Canelo-fan, knowing that he will face the toughest opponents

imagine being a Golovkin fan..... still waiting for that career-defining fight..... but knowing that it will likely never happen

Canelo shall now be known as..... Studnelo

Golovkin shall now be known as..... Shamekin

when did he pass on lara? you can't just make things up. where were the lara offers that were passed on? yes there was a laughable ward offer that was already debunked as publicity stunt and nothing more but where are hte lara offers? how do you pass on something that doenst exist? did you pass on seeing black panther 2? it doesnt exist so you passed on it! did he go out of his way to try and fight lara? no he didnt and why would he? lara wasn't in his division and wasn't a draw unlike a guy like brook who brought him millions. and ggg was selling out madison square garden and getting the best ratings on hbo but ok he wasn't a big draw either sure. lara was the one asking for millions so do your research.

15 million was unconfirmed. first it was 10 then it was 15 so which was it? and if he had you as his sorry ass promoter he would have lost out on millions so thank you for not going into the boxing business. i'm getting the impression you eat up all the headlines that they put out without really comprehending them. your confirmation bias seems to override your critical thinking. ooo he turned down 15 million i guess he's ducking! oh he made more than that hmmm well he was still ducking!!!

its not a rubber match and they chose to fight jacobs. you are really eating up their headlines. it was mid january and they signed to fight jacobs for a fight in may. if they wanted ggg who doesnt even have a tv network deal they would have ya know tried to negotiate with him instead of signing to fight someone else instantly. oh he didnt accept our first offer lets sign to fight jacobs so we can say ggg didn't want it! and its off to the presses! hes ducking hes ducking hes ducking! what was the offer even? did you even try to negotiate longer than a day? ducking ducking ducking JUST LIKE THE WARD AND LARA FIGHTS!!!! DERPPP DERP DERP I KNEW IT. CONFIRMATION BIAS FULFILLED don't you feel great now?
I haven't spent much time on here lately so this reply is late. First of all, I never said he refused to sign a contract on the table for those fights. His team were dismissive at the mere suggestion of fighting guys like Ward and Lara at a time when they were claiming to be desperate to face a top figher. Once they were in the driver's seat they started talking about facing the opponents of their choosing and were dismissive of other top fighters even though they had criticized fighters for displaying that same attitude. Because of the overstated claim that GGG was ducked in the earlier portion of his career, people believed he'd be eager to step up against a top fighter at the first opportunity. But now we know he's the type of guy who will carefully weigh his options before making a move, and he's willing to allow the situation to play out. Even the fight with Jacobs dragged on for a time because he wouldn't budge from a 75% split on his behalf.

Meanwhile, his team chose to turn down the initial offer from GB which was well within their right. However, they can't claim he's being ducked when they're rejecting a career high payday the likes of which no one was offering him as an A side let alone B side at the time. His team didn't even bother responding to the offer until GB put them on blast. Instead, Loeffler focused on increasing his profile against guys like Brook and Jacobs (which he should have been doing for him all along) as talks continued in the background. If you notice when Loeffler was asked about his thoughts on a Canelo fight during that time, he always expressed confidence about it getting done. It was obvious they knew team Canelo wanted it, it was more a matter of ironing out the details. And in reality that fight ultimately did much better numbers than it would have if they had met a couple fights prior when GGG's most notable opponent was Lemieux. That's what you call building a fight, yet haters will claim team Canelo was waiting for GGG to get old when he faced him as an undefeated champ coming off his career best win, and even though team GGG wasn't quick to sign the contract. Even in the rematch, team GGG were perfectly willing to risk having that fight fall through with their inflated co-A side split demand. Team GGG even publicly insisted that because Canelo was willing to concede an inflated purse split to Cotto, they deserved one too. Thankfully GB salvaged it at the last minute when many others in their position would have walked away.

So back to the original topic of this thread: props to Canelo for not only having one of the deepest resumes in boxing and facing every style of fighter, but also for making the type of concessions in order to secure big fights that others wouldn't have.
