Crawford knew the deal when he re signed with Top Rank. He wanted the easy money and to duck real competition. He knew Top Rank has a great ducking strategy plan. Their plan is to use a PBC fighters name to help promote his hype job ass in **** fights knowing that ESPN exclusivity and Top Rank would make it near impossible to make a fight with the guy who's name they are using to promote him. Fight faded former champs and bums, say you want Spence, and hope the dumbass fanboys and Top Rank shills eat up the **** like soft serve on a hot day.

Being WBC champion doesn't automatically mean a fighter is more valuable than a WBO champion, but the value the WBC belt adds to the fighter is more than the value a WBO belt adds to a fighter.

Shawn Porter doesn't have a big following. He's already lost a couple big fights. His value, without that WBC belt, is way way less than his value with that WBC belt. So even if Crawford is worth more than Porter, Porter's belt is adding more value than Crawford's belt is.

The WBO welterweight belt is just the in house Top Rank welterweight belt. Being WBO welterweight champion just means you're Top Rank's best welterweight. It's been that way for nearly 20 years. PBC has all the other best welterweights and none of them pursue the WBO belt.
