Pryor and Chavez should be going at it on the Pacquiao undercared. The promoters these days never give us a good undercard.

Amazing how long these guys stay in the game.
Be interesting to see how long each was at the top level. Maybe a first title to last title measure. Though it will be hard to compare across the multi-title and one title eras.

I think it was Larry Holmes who said he got this ’tremendous kick’ of walking towards the ring minutes before a fight – unlike us normal (if there’s such thing) people, the anxiety and the rattlers in the stomach made him feel full of life.
The feeling that feeds a lot of other fighters – and why they have difficulties calling it a career when they should have had.
Though, as boxing is a matter of life and death, I wish boxers at times could be protected against their own will. There are these kind of people I’d like to see banned from the sport (ex. the kind of promoters and cornermen of Matthew Saad Muhammad’s, Greg Page’s and Roy Jones’s later careers, when these fighters were well past their prime). It’s just a cynical way for insignificant, greedy men to cash in on significantly more glorious men.

If we take into considerstion the level of opposition, and being able to stay on top of the sport, then Mayweather and Pacquaio are up there.
Mayweather has been considered Top 10 P4P since 1998.
Pretty insane really.
