Álvarez started boxing at 13 years old, after watching his older brother Rigoberto Álvarez's debut as a professional boxer.[11] In 2004 he won the silver medal at the Junior Mexican National championships, held in Sinaloa. He became the 2005 Junior Mexican National Boxing Champion in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, at the age of 15. Canelo has an amateur record of 44-2

Very short pro career. Floyd had over TWICE as many amateur fights.

I guess Wilder should not fight anybody with a pulse then because had an approximate amateur record of 30-5

It made no difference in the end, canelo didnt lose because of being weight drained . He was always weight drained at JMW , especially the last few years when he created caneloweight because he didnt even want to shed 1 pound.

He lost because floyd simply schooled him and boxed the **** out of him, had nothing to do with weight he had zero answers for every floyd counter and floyds defense.

Wilder's been a pro a long time, nearly 10 years now.

He's had lots of time to develop, he's well into his 30s now.

let's see how canelo fights when he is 36

edit: yes but didn't u say canelo had no amateur career? i just proved u wrong.
and what's the point of this thread anyway? a poll can't be more biased than this one
