    wow i was checking out springfield 1911 prices.

    pricey now.

    times have changed.

    i remember ppl bought CHEAP 1911's from norinco and springfield to fix them up.

    now springfield 1911 are expensive.

      yeah that is where RIA comes in....they inexpensive now but they churning out quality stuff I doubt they gonna be the "bottom" of the rung for too long...

        i wonder if thompson 1911 are expensive now too.

        they use to be cheap. heard kahr ramped up their quality.

          dunno but I scored big time with the one I got...not only was it cheaply priced I got it on sale for a grand opening of a store here in town so I got a great deal!

            I forgot to post up that I went out and shot my 1911 .45 and she performed like a champ!!! I went with a few buddies and this was the arsenal at hand...

            Rugger .40
            Springfield Armory .40
            Browning .22
            a .22 rifle with scope
            my RIA 1911 .45
            and
            Two 347 Magnums

            the day went off with out a hitch....and im officially hooked to shooting and owning a gun....

            looking to buy a .22 next....

              Get a good quality 1911 for conceal carry.
              A ruger 10/22 to plink with at the range.
              a mossberg/remington 12/20 gauge for home defense.
              a good rifle ar15/ak47 for shtf.
              get plenty of ammo

                    why 1911 for concealed carry?

                    it's heavy and most ppl are uncomfortable carrying it ****ed and locked.

                      Officers model and with two safeties plus the human brain for a third safety, people shouldnt feel worried about it. Ive carried mine ****ed and locked since the day I have had my CHL and had never had any incidents.
