First and foremost this deal was construed by Obama and his administration. It had no congress support, it was akin to an executive order, therefore when you say what does it say about trusting our deals, well the more appropriate question would be what does it mean trusting a deal without congressional support, it means very little, and that I agree with you. If something gets resolved with North Korea with Congressional support then that is a whole different ball game, that means a treaty was signed so that the next president simply null and void if he wants.

In regards to Iran's economy and currency, yes they are tanking but their military spending is through the roof, largely thanks to us. You suggest we stay in the deal until the deal expires in 2025 where they have by then have jacked their strength and then without fault resume their nuclear program? You can't negotiate a deal and then apply pressure on them to restructure the first deal, that's akin to making a new deal. Which if Iran wants to make a new deal with America and President Trump they are more than welcome to, but with their politicians burning our flag and yelling death to America, I do not see that happening anytime soon.

The thing is, even with the huge increase in military spending, Iran won't be able to maintain those levels in their current economic climate, and increasing military spending in a period where most ordinary Iranians' wages and living standards are plummeting was the main reason for the recent mass protests against the hardline aspects of the regime. These are the same hardliners who were against the deal in the first place, and foolishly burning the American flag today. This strengthens their position and (at least on the surface) vindicates them in the eyes of their people.
What would've happened at the end of the deal was and is a major issue, but it appears given the rhetoric of both parties today a solution to the Iranian problem is as far away as it's been since the days of Ahmadinejad.

Yes they are, though. In Syria they have literally taken the side of the rebels, ISIS and Al-Nusra as a facet of their proxy "sending a message" war with Iran. As recently as Feburary our own Secretary of Defense (Mattis) stated that there's no evidence Assad has used chemical weapons on civilians. Syria was deliberately targeted for destabilization via US & Israel-sponsored terror groups. Wikileaks released the very documents outlining the operation.

What? Iran was prospering before the Revolution of 1979, after which it ruptured economical ties with the US and became a lot worse off. Iran, like most Middle East, was the battleground of the Cold War between the USA and the USSR.

As for what my "Motherland" is today, it is barely more than a ****hole run by idiot Putin who is practically a dictator under the guise of President. I am ashamed of Russia today, and while the rest of my family who still lives back there are not doing so bad, most of the country is. The New Russians are very rich, while 85% of the population are living in almost third world conditions.
