he can come in weighing as he likes and so does Pirog, dont like the rules then dont fight above 154 !!!

    learn your boxing.
You didn't disprove anything he said, which was that Cotto wouldn't fight him at true middleweight (if you're not aware, true MW's fight at 160 and Cotto doesn't choose to fight guys at that weight). We all know what the rules are FFS.

    "learn your boxing" lol

I still wonder if middleweight would be a little more interesting if he was still in the mix.
Pirog was already suffering from his back injuries when he fought Ishida and Gennady Matirosyn.

Pirog looked good vs some good journeyman level fighters, he had definite pedigree. It's really too bad Sergio Martinez was allowed to fight Dzinziruk, Barker, and Macklin instead of Pirog, but DiBella had that kind of pull.

When Matthew Macklin was the Euro champion, he was mandated to fight Pirog but Pirog then beat Aaron Mitchell and became the WBO #1 and wanted to fight Pavlik (who then lost to Martinez and the WBO then stripped b/c he refused to vacated his WBC 154lb title, leading to Pirog/Jacobs). Lots of what-if's. Pirog/Pavlik would've been exciting.

He got stripped of the WBO title because he chose to fight Golovkin but got injured during training and subsequently had to retire. Would he of beaten GGG? Or would he be the Marquez to GGGs Pacquiao? Would Pirog of been ducked by Cotto?? Would Golovkin still be relavent? What do you guys think?
His claim to fame was beating a prospect named Danny Jacobs.

That alone has lifted him to a status beyond his achievements.

We might as well praise Porky Medina...he beat more prospects than Pirog.

He really has been flattered by a single win.
Saunders beats Pirog? No way, Eubank would have beat Saunders if he could have controlled distance which Pirog did insanely well.

Golovkin isn't man enough to fight Pirog. He won't even fight Jacobs.

the thing about skills is GGG has better amateur credentials but he has a ridiculous chin and power on top of all that.

Pirog is a very skilled fighter without great natural attributes like GGG.

I have no clue why anyone think he would be a challenge.

Because Golovkin hasn't fought anyone. Literally Rosado is in his top 5 wins.
