Apparently hitting the lottery equals $500k more than fighting Broner.

OK, so at least you understand it's hypothetical. Good job.

Bernard Hopkins made $85,000 for a million dollar fight against Roy Jones.

Trainer gets 10%, promoter 25%, manager, who knows. That's not even bringing tax into the equation. You're numbers are incredibly skewed, my friend.

Either way you cut it, 3.5 mil, minus tax is sad.
Everybody knows Mayweather and Pacquiao get ridiculous purses to fight and its not realistic for too many other boxers to expect to earn close to what they do, they bring in the money, its crazy to think other fighters should base their purses off what Mayweather and Pacquiao make.

I see a lot of fans here saying 3.5 million is a joke but id be willing to bet there aren't a lot of fighters that would turn that down. That's a lot of money and most boxers don't see purses like that in their entire career.

Im not even sure you guys are serious when you say its sad or if its just another way to knock Mayweather for you but step back and take Mayweather out of the equation and realize Maidana could make 3.5 million dollars for 3 months training and a half hour fight, anybody other than Manny, Canelo and Cotto would be crazy to turn that down.
