  • Andrei Arlovski faces former PFL champ Philipe Lins at UFC Oklahoma City

Having fought at least three times a year since 2016, the former heavyweight champion is set to make his first appearance of 2020 when he takes on former PFL champion Philipe Lins at UFC Oklahoma City on May 2, according to The Oklahoman.

Arlovski (28-19, 2 NC) went 1-2 last year, sandwiching a unanimous decision win over Ben Rothwell with losses to Augusto Sakai and Jairzinho Rozenstruik, the latter of whom KO’d the 41-year-old in just 29 seconds last November. “The Pitbull” is 7-9 (1 NC) since rejoining the UFC six years ago.

Lins (14-3), the PFL’s inaugural heavyweight champion, was unable to defend his crown after bowing out with an injury prior to the start of league’s 2019 regular season. He went 4-0 for the PFL, finishing all of his fights including a fourth-round TKO of Josh Copeland in the 2018 finals. Lins, 34, has also competed for Bellator.

A light heavyweight bout between veteran Ed Herman (25-14, 1 NC) and South Korea’s Da Un Jung (13-2) has also been added to the May 2 card. Herman won both of his fights in 2019, while Jung is 2-0 in the UFC so far and is currently on a 12-fight win streak overall.

UFC Oklahoma City takes place at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The main card will air live on the ESPN+ streaming service.
