Thanks bro what part do you live? and why are you there for work?

Damn $150 for visa? WTF I didnt even know that. That might piss off few of my boys some of them real cheap when it comes to petty shat.

We were planning to fly in and stay at like a Hilton or Marriott for few days hit Great Wall and then go to Hong Kong, Viet Nam and then Thailand at the end.

Are things expensive there? Like tours, transfers, food, drinks, etc?

Also we don't speak a word of Chinese do they have English speaking help over there?
I'm here for work. I'm on a 1-year work visa. I came before twice on a student visa while I was living in Japan, in order to study Chinese at some Chinese universities. I could have easily just got a tourist visa, but was of the mind to make them into study trips.

I live in East China, about 2-3 hours by bus from Shanghai. It's a smallish city (by China standards) with no train station, but it's a decent place to be, without a lot of hustle and bustle; clean streets; nice people; etc. Not at all like the stereotypes suggest. But of course, China is slightly larger than the US--and is certainly less developed, obviously--but there are pockets where it is rather not bad off at all.

China's not so expensive. Big western hotels charge more, but are cheaper compared to the US or other countries. I book hotels on C-Trip usually, and I usually go for cheapish options. C-Trip is useful because a lot of Chinese hotels don't accept foreigners (it has to do with regulations, they have to be registered to accept foreigners) but if you browse the listings on the English version of C-Trip all the hotels accept foreigners. But staying at a Western hotel, you won't have any such problems, and there are good things involved, like concierge service; and staff that is guaranteed to speak English very well.

In general, things are well cheaper than what you are used to in the US. The main exception is that some commodities are more expensive--and I think it is because these are world-wide traded goods, and it may relate to the devalued Chinese currency. But if you are bringing dollars and converting them to Chinese (as opposed to getting paid in RMB), that too is to you advantage.

China isn't hard to get around as an English speaker. In particular in the big cities, there are many people that speak English. Where I'm at not so much--but if you are on the street in a big city and look slightly confused, there's a fair chance someone will come up to you and ask in English if you need help.

Another thing. Although there is no train station in my city, the high-speed train network is very well developed now and is a very convenient way to get around, and pretty quick. The airplanes are also efficient, and not extremely pricey.

I eat out all the time, and never had a problem. But as long as you aren't going to the cheapest restaurants, you should be fine (I often go to the cheapest ones). There are some slightly expensive (though not compared to the US) restaurants, which should be no problem, and have really good food (though it can be hard to read the menu in many cases).

As far as girls, in Chinese hotels, you often get business cards for girls slid under your door, hah. I stayed the night in Shenzhen once at a Chinese hotel. I called for help to fix my TV. The guy came around to fix it, and asked if I needed a girl, lol. Perhaps I did oblige him .

Another time I was staying in Shanghai at a Western hotel on my company's expense. There was a guy outside, trying to send me to a girl's club. I said I don't really want to go to such a club, but maybe I can bring a girl here? What'll that cost me?

In the end I turned it down because I had a bus leaving at 6am in the morning, but there were other guys on the wings awaiting their own arrivals, hah.

My apartment is in front of an ally way lined with little rooms, with girls plying their trade day and night. There are spas and massage parlors with happy endings all over.

It's China, and no one really gives a ****. But it can be hard to find, if you don't know what you should be looking for or don't have any background.

I have a Chinese girlfriend now, though.

It's actually a pretty cool sight.
I recommend you and your crew spend extra money on a good tour though. The place can get extremely crowded, a good tour guide can take you to places on the wall that aren't as crowded and the views are nicer.

Cool cool bro thanks so much. I think im down to stay at a Hilton in Peking for like $250 a night. I saw the one there was walking distance to forbidden city and totally decked out and views of forbidden city.

I'm down to pay up to $200 for a real good tour if they can get me onto the Great Wall and I can get satisfying pics and not have it so crowded. Online I saw the tours are only like $50, but again I'd pay up to $200 for a really good one that could get me to better parts of the Great Wall.

I have an American Express card so I use that in foreign countries as they don't have international fees like other credit cards do. So id prefer to just eat at the hotel and charge everything to the room if possible.

Do they take US dollars like if I hit up a souvenir shop or get some snacks or whatever?

I love your honesty about the whorees coming up to your room. My only problem with that is if its a set up for you to get jacked, or also if the girls even hot enough. I know this sounds bad but im not into asian chicks. the only ones Im into are the really fine ones with pretty faces, big huge knockers and curves, which I know is not how most of those chicks look like, especially over there right?

How much did it cost tho for u to smash in the hotel room? I know 1/2 the squad will want to do that as thats what they want in Thailand too.

I prefer to just smash thirsty tourists as its safer and free lol.

Thats cool bro I hope everything works out for you with work over there. Are you teaching English to them?

Yeah bro Im down to pay up to like $200 for a really good vip tour that takes me to the better areas of the wall with less crowds. I saw online the average price was only like $50 but id pay up to $200!

Hows that glass walk is that cool? How far is that from Peking?

            It varies quite a lot.

The local street girls here are usually like $30-40. But they'll demand $60-70 out of me, as a big dicked foreigner.

In that hotel room, it was more like $125.

In Shanghai, they were asking more like $150.

If you are in a nice Western hotel, I wouldn't worry about the scams. I'd caution to be cautious about going to some girls' club, but do what you will. If you don't act like a complete idiot and seem respectful, they'll be less likely to take you for a ride, maybe.

But, getting a girl for your room, will cost a little more, but isn't really that dangerous. Especially if you are in a nice hotel. Not a place to cause a scene, to them.

LOL those prices aren't even bad. my boys get hit up by pros in the lobby of Vegas casinos and those chicks want $300.

None of us ever took the offer so we don't know what happens when you actually go up to the room with them for $300.

I know in some of the nicer hotels in LA, pros try to hit up traveling sales guys in the bar lobby and also charge $300 lol.

I guess $300 is the going rate.

But as for me I don't like asian chicks unless they banging fine as hell with curves and huge knockers. so thats why im not feeling Thailand either.

I like mixed asian chicks tho the 1/2 white ones be fine.

If you not too far we can maybe meet up at my hotel bro do some shots. Will you be there next fall?

Have you partied in HK or Vietnam yet?

                It varies a bit.

The girls in the ally behind my place charge $30-40 for Chinese guys, but they'll demand $60 from me as a foreigner, cause lets face it, we've got a bigger dick.

I can go to a massage parlor, and have a massage and a happy ending, with a fully unclothed girl, for about $70, plus I get to sleep there for the night in a hotel room.

The girl in Shenzhen charged about $100.

In Shanghai, the asking price was closer to $150.

It was perhaps able to be negotiated down.

I'd say, $100-150 tops (in the big city), and try to make sure the girl is hot.

Maybe wait outside to meet the girl to see if it's satisfactory.

There are scams abound, but if you are in a nice western hotel, they aren't going to be coming in to beat you up.

Use a little common sense, and be respectful. Just try to act normal about it all.

Chinese girls are hot. My girlfriend now has some big ass *******.

You could even tell the tout that you want a skinny girl with big ****.

what is a tout? sorry not following that word?

is that like a pimp or something?

Man bro I know im sound like a total ****y D-bag here but I usually do pretty well in the bars. Especially in foreign countries I got a pretty good mixed look to me so a lot of ladies feel me. Usually white chicks, Latinas, Asians not so much.

So again not to sound ****y but I usually can pull a pretty hot slat from the bar for free or for at least like 3 drinks or 3 shots lol.

thats funny that u keep saying they charge more for the bigger D. if thats the case imma have to pay a lot more than the locals then lol.

It was weird how I double posted that, but the second post was way more detailed, and your post was sandwiched in between.

The reason it's weird is I was drunk as hell last night and posting on my phone, from my girlfriend's bar (she owns the bar). So, it doesn't even make sense how I did that, hah.

One time I went to a house where a bunch of girls are sat, and you get to choose the one you like. They told me $55 (there abouts). (I was with a Chinese friend and he scoffed at it, and actually we left because he dragged me out, but then we struck out and came back.)

So, I'm back, and $55 is the rate (it was okay with me all along).

I say "you, and you." $110.

We get up stairs, and my two girls tell me to take off my clothes.

I do, and they see my dick, and are like no dice. Hah.

So they walk me back down the stairs and return the cash.

My friend hailed a taxi, and took me to a decent spa/massage parlor (to which I've returned several times).

There, you walk in. You take off your shoes, and put on slippers. They also give you an electronic key for the locker. Everything seems classy and legit. You go down the hall to the shower area, where they have showers and baths (public baths are a thing in Asia, and are quite relaxing, once you get use to it).

Then, you hit the elevator and go to the 'foot massage' floor.

A waiter is there to greet you (or sometimes even a waitress), and show you to your room.

You let them know if you want some company. The smart thing to say is 'send several girls around, so I can make a choice.'

They come by, and introduce themselves. It's okay to ask them what sort of services they provide (a hj is the bare minimum, but most at least will give a bj). You inform the waiter/waitress of your decision (or just pick one on the spot, or whatever) and it's phoned in to the front desk.

The first time I went, I got two girls (back-to-back).

Then, you go to sleep. Check out time is 10am.

You leave the room by 10, and go downstairs to have another shower, and a bath.

Then, you go to the front desk to checkout, and pay your tab.

The shower and room fee is about $20, and the 'foot massage' is about $50.

Two 'foot massages'? Looking at a tab of about $120.

These places are littered all over the place.

China, and by extension Asia, is a bit mind blowing to the uninitiated sometimes.

Yeah, a tout is essentially another word for 'pimp'.

But it is more like they are working for a commission, not like they own the establishment.

Anyway, I know your a player. I've changed my name on here a lot, but we have talked since way back. One time I was a young buck and in Korea, and you gave me job advice. But only after you compared me to Hansen, based on a ****ty contemporary picture of me at an MMA event in Seoul, and we sparred a bit, lol.
