  • Floyd should be able to fight a tuneup next...

After fighting Juan Marquez and Shane Mosley in back to back fights, Floyd should be able to take a tuneup against a lower tier fighter (like Matthew Hatton) before his next super fight against either Pacquiao or Williams.

Would Floyd still get criticism for taking a tuneup bout against the likes of Hatton?

Probably. He has set the bar so high that anything less than the best competition will be a letdown.

Floyd can fight whoever he wants now. He's not defending a belt so nobody has any say in who he fights but Floyd. With that said, it's all big money fights from now on.

I bet he has 1 or 2 more fights and then he'll retire for good. I hope he fights Pac or the Martinez/Pavlik 2 winner.

If he fights Pacquaio next, he will be fighting a tuneup.
