Would u financially take care of your parents

My parents are over 50 and can look after themselves, financially and physically but I still contribute where I can.

Why would you not?

My parents will probably never need my financial help but I still try to help when I can, it's really really hard to give them money as they still believe that they're the ones who should be giving me money and I refuse to take it because I'm well off now and I love being independent.

What they will provably want from me later is to go back and live close to them to take care of them when they get old, but unfortunatley that's the only I thing I'd never do because I live abroad on another continent and I'm not willing to ho back there for good under any circumstances and they won't be happy where I live, the only thing I could do then is to hire them someone to take care of them, they won't like it but that's all I can do.
