To say the B-Hop that RJJ beat was prime is more than a stretch. Hopkins was a rookie, with about three years of boxing experience. If that was a prime B-Hop a prime Floyd Mayweather was probably when he was 10 years old.
You've got a better case in saying BHop beat Prime RJJ in their 2nd fight than saying RJJ beat Prime BHop in their first fight
It's just re-visionary stuff. There's a reason RJJ didn't take the rematch until it didn't matter. Roy was a phenomenal fighter, but far from GOAT or whatever some people pretend
You can rag on him all you want, but prime RJJ was as unbeatable a fighter as I've ever seen. Are there fighters who rank ahead of him all-time P4P? Lots. Would I take any of them over Roy in a head to head fight? Nope.
