  • Comments Thread For: Broner on Vargas: He Ain't Win His Fights When He Stepped Up

NEW YORK Adrien Broner didn't even let Brian Custer finish his question to Jessie Vargas. The Showtime announcer attempted to ask Vargas about a statement he had made regarding Broner losing when he "stepped up" in fights contested above the super lightweight limit of 140 pounds. An agitated Broner wouldn't allow Vargas to publicly pick apart his resume two days before their 12-round, 144-pound main event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Man I hope this is the last we see of this clown on Saturday. He does not have one piece of humility. He is honestly a scum of scum. If he wasn't boxing, he would be locked up asap in and out of the pen. He feels entitle when he really hasn't done much.

You do KNOW he's a 4 division champion, he ACTUALLY "stepped up" he went from 135 to 147 and won a World Championship.

that was his point. They were first stating how broner loses when he's stepped up, so he replied that the same can be said for vargas.

After the Ponce De Leon fight, I was always skeptical about Broner. He also had close calls with Mallinaggi and Granados. I can see Broner beating B class lvl fighters but never the elite of the division. Every time he stepped up to people who pose a threat he lost; Mikey, Porter, and Maidana. He also took some big shots during all those bouts. IMO if he cannot be Vargas maybe he should think about hanging the gloves up.
