    total joke.
Yea the fight sucks (blame the dirty Russian) but haymon has looked out for Chris for years now. No way Chris would still be on tv or getting a title shot with anyone but haymon

Dude was handed a title shot coming off a failed drug test NC and a couple of **** performances. He had no position to bargain, man... this isnt Haymon raiding Showtime and HBO anymore, he doesn't just throw around money to fighters from other promoters.

Haymon pays them way more under table

I'm no fan of the guy but you're completely overlooking the fact that it was relatively short notice, nobody wanted it, and Chris was one of the few "names" they could get. It's not a value name but it's a recognizable one and that almost always translates to ratings. If they had no money to spend, then why are the undercard fighters getting paid the same or more? Your first statement also bolsters why it should have been more; it was a main event, HW TITLE shot.

              Chris Arreola $150,000

              Sammy Vasquez $225,000

              Felix Diaz $125,ooo

Looks like Arreola has gotten the short end of the stick. Arreola stated previously that he didn’t know or care what he was getting paid. This proves true with this purse. We can only hope he fairs well in this fight tonight.
The shot fighter brought in to take a beating gets 150k, shameful.

Not even half, I would say close a quarter of that. Plus he will feel the beating for a week or more and may go crazy down the road from dementia and be broke while it's happening. Now who would take a beating for that?

Well, fighting Arreola is like shopping in the bargain bin.

Can't expect any high end purchases guys - it is Birmingham, Alabama after all.

I'm sure Arreola just wanted the opportunity at another title shot, and he probably knew it was his last chance at one. That alone is worth it to a guy like him. Face it, he's 35 years old and has had some tough losses and not really relevant anymore. He knew this was likely his last shot at winning a title.

Guys like Broner, Garcia, they are still young and think plenty more opportunities will come there way. They still think they can get Miguel Cotto and Canelo type money.
