    The moldboard plough was a huge achievement.

    Made farming way easier so people could harvest and eat because they could grow a ton more crops.

    Before it they just toiled the fields with their hoes (wives and farm implements )

              Anatomically modern humans were around before writing. The thing that writing made possible was the recording and storage of knowledge.
