  • Mike Tyson vs Carl "The Truth" Williams

Tyson had KO'd him about 93 seconds in courtesy of a left hook landing flush. I think Mike had trained very hard for the fight and was expecting a pretty tough fight. Williams had arguably a better jab than even Douglas. But Mike didn't seem like he needed to put in much of an effort. Besides, it was stopped so abruptly being the ref didn't feel Carl was in good enough shape to continue. Do you guys think that may've also contributed to his taking the Douglas fight so lightly?

mike didn't train hard for the fight at all and it was stopped too early, but yeah I think cruising through this without training very hard may have contributed to his ****yness coming into douglas

Carl Williams had hands down one of the worst chins in boxing history, and was hardly a defensive master.

Tyson did not need to be on his "A" game to catch and KO the guy.

          Talk about over exaggeration.

His chin wasn't much but one of the worst in history

As for Tyson, he started regressing after the Spinks fight. He let a limited Bruno (briefly) stagger him then blew out Williams but Douglas had the right blueprint & fortitude.

He started believing too much in his punch & forgot the excellent boxing skills that got him to the top. Naseem Hamed did the same thing.

When you consider he was bigger than everyone he fought and how many times his ass hit the floor or his legs wobbled, he absolutely has one of the worst chins in history.

He wasn't a huge heavyweight. He actually weighed less than Tyson in their bout. he was also outweighed by Larry Holmes yet went 15 rounds even though "he has one of the worst chins in boxing history"

He also battered the same Bert Cooper that had Holyfield dancing like Zab Judah.

Seriously, Mr Jabsrstiff. You're not doing yourself any favours with this insistence that he "absolutely has one of the worst chins in boxing history" . Unless you actually don't know any boxing history. I'm not saying he had sturdy whiskers, but you're just being silly....

Name some heavyweights (conteders or above) with worse chins.

For the record....Larry Holmes was FATTER than Williams, not bigger.
