"Fans getting under the skin of Devontae."

        "Thankfully Devontae kept cool there."

The commentator emphasized certain words and sounds like he's from the 1940s. Surprised he didn't say Devontae is getting all "uppity" with the fans with all that "jive" talk.

The good news is at least hockey finally has their Jack Johnson. The sport is about 100 years behind.

The first black player in the NHL was in 1958. Willie Mays played baseball in the majors in 1951. Hockey in that sense isn't far behind.

              Here's a list.

I agree with you on this.

Looks like 1957 actually with William O'Ree.

                  Damn good post.

Shows how it's best to read up on things before making assumptions. I've made way too many myself but it's so refreshing to learn the truth.

What were they chanting? Dudes should be removed from the arena if they were saying racist crap. Why the hell does he have to have a hyphenated last name? lol

I've always been a huge fan of Nyj-Mo

The level of energy he brought on to the diamond was pretty incredible.
